Shipping policy
The processing time is subject to the complexity of the order and busy sale period. Processing times are separate to delivery times.
We aim to ship out all orders within 2 business days. Please note during busy seasons, strike seasons, public holidays etc. this processing time cannot always be met.
Processing and Delivery Times: Our standard processing and delivery times for orders are 7-15 business days.
Sales and Stock Availability: All sales are subject to stock availability. We will begin processing orders once received. Our goal is to ensure prompt processing and delivery to our valued customers.
Extended Wait Times: During holiday seasons, the wait times for processing may be extended by an additional 7-10 working days. However, once the processing is complete, the order will be shipped out within two business days. Any delays to customer orders will be promptly communicated to ensure great customer service.
Shipping Times and Busy Periods: Please be aware that shipping times will vary depending on the destination. Additionally, during public holidays and busier periods, the pre-order processing and shipping times mentioned above may be further extended. We appreciate your patience during these times.
Once your parcel has been shipped its expected delivery date will depend on your region:
We are based in the U.K. Our items are delivered using the Royal Mail First class signed for or special delivery, if based in the UK. Shipping cost will be calculated at checkout and your order will arrive in the following times once dispatched:
Royal Mail Special delivery (Signed for and Tracked) - Parcels are shipped out within two working days and will arrive the following working day. If an order is shipped out on Friday or Saturday your parcel will arrive on Monday. Please note that your package may take longer than expected to arrive during busy seasons, strike seasons, public holidays, etc.
EU
DHL, UPS or FedEx (Depending on the best courier for your location we will ship your parcel out with one of the three) Parcels are shipped out within two business days and are expected to arrive between 2-7 business days.Please note that your parcel may take longer than expected to arrive during busy seasons, strike seasons, public holidays, etc. Please also note that since Brexit, parcels shipped to EU countries may potentially be held at your local customs, resulting in further delays.
USA & CANADA

AFRICA & THE REST OF THE WORLD

Incorrect mailing address
We are not responsible for any incorrect or missing mailing address details provided by the customer. If your mailing address is incorrect we will get in touch with you to arrange a redelivery, however, you will incur a return to sender fee of £6.20 and a new shipping fee. Please ensure that your address is entered correctly at checkout.
Lost/Missing Parcels
- Once the package arrives and is confirmed by our shipping carrier that it has been delivered, we are not responsible for your package's loss or theft.
- We do not refund or reship packages that have been marked as delivered by the courier.
Customs/Duties
- Silk Strands is not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments as these are the responsibility of the customer.
- Please check with your local postal service for more information. You will need to make sure that you cover any incurred customs fees or duties should any be incurred when shipping to your destination.
- Please do not refuse delivery. Unfortunately, refused deliveries will incur the cost of the original delivery plus the courier return fee. Any refund made will be minus the total delivery and cost to return.
